Replenshing the Bunker Sand

We have just begun to replenish the Lake course green side bunkers this week. We should wrap them up this week and continue on with the Mountain course the following week. During this time, you will notice that these bunkers will play a bit softer and a fried egg may occur. We have compacted them, but time and irrigation are the eventual answer.

As a side note, that is Alberto Hernandez driving the tractor and his brother Ernesto driving the Bobcat. Combined, they have over 12 years experience at Cinnabar. Thanks guys!

Mount Pelo de Chango

Pelo de Chango translates to gorilla hair which is further translated to shredded redwood bark. As you can see, we certainly have a lot of it. It is that time of year again when we begin to replenish our flower beds. I learned young from my mother that no matter if the customer is there to golf or eat, they see the front of the house and it better look good. We hope to have all of the bark out by early next week just in time for Easter. A lot of people have asked where we got it so if you're interested in this bark, you can purchase it from South Bay Materials. Great folks over there.

Sand and Seed Bottles

Does the picture on your left look familiar? Contrary to some people's opinion, this does not have to do with the staff not doing their jobs correctly. It has to do with people not filling their divots while in the fairways or on the tees. I am hoping this is just because we are coming out of winter and having been on the paths for so long. As a friendly reminder now that we are off the paths for what is hopefully the rest of a beatiful summer; please fix your divots. Thanks for your help.

The Owl Craze

The owl craze isn't sweeping the nation by any means, but it sure has gained a lot of attention here at Cinnabar. Even our daughter Samantha has joined the following.
