If you were out golfing the last few days you may have seen us watering greens and wondering if the Maintenance Department of Cinnabar Hills had any clue of what they are doing. To explain, on Monday we topdressed greens (skipped an application due to previous weather) which had to be watered in and on Tuesday/ Wednesday we had to water in a wetting agent and pre-emergent herbicide for Poa annua. In order for the pre-emergent to be successful, it needs to get to its target zone which is below the thatch. The wetting agent helps it get there and will also help move any rain we get through the soil profile.
While I don't like having to water when we are already moist, timing and opportunity sometimes override what I'd like to do.
