This past Friday I saw the first tarantula of the year. When the tarantulas are seen this time of year, they are typically heading for high ground because rain is coming. True to form, on my way to work this morning there were a few drops of rain. Just enough to get that familiar smell of cold water on hot asphalt.
Speaking of that smell, I'm reminded of a wine tasting I attended where they made us take note of the familiar smell of rain on hot asphalt. Not what I am looking for in my wine thank you very much. I'll stick with just the tarantula and the rains.
